Tanya Eichhorst Inducted into Delta Mu Delta at Hardin-Simmons University

Tanya Eichhorst of Abilene, Texas, was inducted into Delta Mu Delta at a ceremony at Hardin-Simmons University this fall semester. Delta Mu Delta is an international, professional honor society in the field of business.

Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 by professors from Harvard, Yale, and New York University who believed that exceptional students in the field of business should be given special recognition. Delta Mu Delta was incorporated in 1952, and in 1963 was admitted to membership in the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).

The purposes of Delta Mu Delta are to promote higher scholarship in training for business and to recognize and reward scholastic attainment in business subjects.

About Hardin-Simmons:

HSU has an enrollment of approximately 2,300 undergrad and graduate students from 29 states and 19 countries. HSU has a 13:1 student faculty ratio with a campus that sits on 209 acres. Seventy-nine percent of HSU's faculty hold the highest degree in their field.

Hardin-Simmons University, founded in 1891, is a private Christian institution, and has been affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists) since 1941.
