Samantha Belveal of Borger, TX, graduated from Hardin-Simmons University during commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 11, 2011, in HSU's Behrens Auditorium.

With its 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students enjoy personal attention as they pursue over 70 fields of undergraduate study, 20 fields of graduate study, and seven pre-professional programs.

For the 20th year, HSU guaranteed students a tuition rate that does not increase as long as full-time enrollment is maintained during consecutive fall and spring semesters. HSU also distributes approximately $12 million each year in scholarships to students, and has an enrollment of approximately 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students.

Belveal is one of 282 graduates to receive degrees from Hardin-Simmons University this spring.

Founded in 1891, HSU is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and provides an academically challenging undergraduate education based on a liberal arts foundation. Combining a commitment to academic excellence with a concern for the development of the total person, Hardin-Simmons provides An Education Enlightened by Faith.
