Debra Crawford to Travel to Scotland to Present "Birds on a Wire"

2012 Jun 27

Debra Crawford of Brady, Texas, will travel for a production of Birds on a Wire in Scotland as a part of the International Collegiate Theatre Festival in Edinburgh.

Crawford will play the role of Andrea Pearl Rositzky.

The dramatic play about the American dustbowl and the very personal loss it wreaked on those who endured it was presented on the HSU stage last February in what was the world premiere of the play.

Playwright Shauna Kanter was in-residence in Abilene to help develop her play with HSU student actors and the play's director, Ronald Dean Nolen, HSU assistant professor of theatre. Those same students along with Nolen and theatre department head, Larry Wheeler, will take Birds on a Wire to the United Kingdom August 1, 2012.
